📋1. Information we collect

SnapDo AI only collects the information needed to provide the service. We do not collect excessive or irrelevant data.

1.1. Information you provide directly

• Account (optional): Email address if you sign in with Apple or Google to sync your subscription across devices.
• Feedback: Anything you send through the contact form or support email.

1.2. Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Which features are used and how often you scan.
• Device data: Device type, OS version and language — only to improve your experience.
• Crash reports: Anonymous technical logs when the app encounters an error.

1.3. Information sent to our servers

• Recognized text: when you ask SnapDo to analyze an image, only the text recognized on your device is sent — never the image. The text may contain personal information that appears in the screenshot (for example names, dates or codes).
• Identifiers: a generated device identifier (UUID) to count AI usage and manage your subscription and, if you sign in, your account ID.
• Device and app data: time zone, platform, app and OS version, subscription tier.
• Usage events: for example app open, scan started or finished, paywall viewed, purchase started or completed and, on first launch, the referral code of a link you opened.
• Push token: only if you allow notifications.
• Purchases: subscription receipts or transactions are verified on our server with Apple or Google to activate your plan. We never receive your payment card details.
• Approximate location: our server derives your approximate country from the request (via the CDN) and stores only hashed forms of your IP address and install identifier for attribution and abuse protection. We never collect precise location.

If you signed in, you can delete your account and its server-side data in Account → Delete account. To request deletion of server-side data tied to your device identifier, email goodfileshare.com@gmail.com.

🎯2. How we use information

The information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

• Extracting actionable tasks and reminders from recognized text
• Syncing your subscription status across devices (if you sign in)
• Delivering reminder notifications and daily digests scheduled locally on your device
• Delivering transactional push notifications, and marketing updates only if you explicitly opt in
• Anonymous aggregate analytics to improve app stability and performance
• Technical support when you contact us

We do not use your information for: targeted advertising, building personal profiles, or selling to third parties.

📸3. On-device processing and image privacy

SnapDo handles screenshots and photos with a strict on-device privacy architecture:

3.1. Local reading and AI text analysis

• SnapDo only accesses images you actively select via the system photo picker, camera, or share sheet
• Text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit — original images are never uploaded to our servers
• Only the extracted OCR text of the image you choose to analyze is sent to our server (encrypted with TLS/HTTPS)
• Before your first AI analysis, the app requests your explicit consent to send recognized text to our server and OpenAI; you can withdraw consent anytime in Settings → Privacy
• The extracted action items, tasks, and notes are stored locally in private app storage on your device

3.2. What SnapDo does NOT do

• It does not request broad access to your photo library (only the system picker is used)
• It does not automatically scan your photo library
• It does not run background image scans on its own
• It does not upload your images or use them to train AI models
• It does not perform facial analysis or biometric recognition

🤝4. Sharing information

SnapDo AI does not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

Technical partners

We use a few third-party services to operate the app:

• AI provider (OpenAI): Processes the extracted OCR text (never images) to organize tasks, dates and action items under strict privacy agreements
• Cloud platform: Manages subscription validation, usage limits, and secure API routing
• Push notifications (Firebase / APNs): Sends local and remote notifications; marketing messages require explicit opt-in
• Authentication (Apple & Google): Optional sign-in; Apple authorization tokens are revoked upon account deletion
• App stores (Apple App Store & Google Play): In-app purchase processing

Legal cases

We only disclose information when required by a valid legal authority, and we will notify you when we are permitted to do so.

🛡️5. Data security

We apply industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• At-rest encryption for stored data
• Strict internal access controls following the principle of least privilege
• Regular security reviews
• No original images kept after analysis is complete

Still, no system is 100% secure. If we discover a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.

⚖️6. Your rights

You have the following full rights over your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you by email
• Right to rectification: Update inaccurate information
• Right to deletion: Delete all local data anytime via Settings → Clear SnapDo data, or delete your account in Account → Delete account (Apple authorization tokens are automatically revoked upon account deletion)
• Right to restrict processing: Withdraw AI consent anytime in Settings → Privacy while continuing to use OCR and manual tasks
• Right to data portability: Request your data in a readable format by email
• Right to object: Keep marketing notifications disabled (default off)

👶7. Children and privacy

SnapDo AI is not designed for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by law in your country).

We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent and discover that your child has provided personal information, please contact us to delete it right away.

🔄8. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, you will be notified through:

• In-app push notifications
• Email if you have registered an account
• A notification banner when you open the app

The "Last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Continuing to use SnapDo after changes means you agree to the new policy.
